都市縮退現象の実態と要因に関する地理的分析

<p>日本を始めとする先進国の都市では，少子化や人口高齢化に伴って，都市縮退現象に直面している．その結果，空き家や低未利用地の増加が深刻化している．こうした問題に取り組むために，日本の政府や自治体は，市街地を集約化してコンパクト化する政策を進めてきた．しかし，都市縮退の実態や背景は十分に明らかになっていない．本研究は，都市の縮退化の実態を小地域統計と住宅地図データを組み合わせたマルチスケールの地理的分析によって明らかにすることを目的とする．そのために，国土数値情報の土地利用データと国勢調査の小地域統計を分析して，都市縮退現象の発生地区を特定する．その上で，住宅地図データを用いて，都市縮退の実態を詳細に分析する．</p><p>In advanced countries including Japan faces the issue of urban shrinkage owing to the declining birth rate and aging population. As a result, the number of vacant houses and vacant lots has increased. To deal with this issue, the government of Japan has employed “compact city” policies to consolidate dispersed built-up areas. However, little is known about the actual condition of urban shrinkage and its background. This study aims at clarifying the actual conditions of urban shrinkage by employing a multi-scale geographical analysis using micro-scale statistics and housing map data. To this end, I will examine the spatial distribution of vacant houses and vacant lots by combining land use data from the numerical information on the land of Japan with small-scale population data from the census to specify the area of urban shrinkage. Then I will conduct a detailed analysis of the actual condition of urban shrinkage by employing the housing map data.</p>
