首都圏の斜面地における住宅地の開発率と鉄道駅からの距離との関係

The recent decline of forests on slope in urban areas should be considered seriously in terms of the loss of ecological function. Developing slope areas is generally difficult because it requires high costs. Nevertheless, due to the residential development pressures caused by the growth of population in urban areas, many slope areas had been developed. Indeed, in recent years, many cities stopped expanding and started shrinking because of the low birth rate and the aging population. However, the development on slope will continue in residential areas close to a station. Therefore, this study will identify a correlation between the development on slope and the distance from stations. The findings will be helpful for protecting forests on slope.
