Abstract

日本に限らず先進国においては、社会・経済・人口の変化により自動車の保有率・利用率に構造的な変化が起こっていると言われている。将来あるべき都市構造及び交通システムを考えるにあたっては、具体的にどのような変化が起こっており、そしてどの要因が影響を及ぼしているか、理解を深める必要がある。
本研究では、最初の段階として、物的環境、アクセシビリティ、そして世帯属性等を考慮し、全国の自動車の保有率と利用率を説明するモデルを構築する。平成17年・平成22年の全国都市交通特性調査データ（利用可能になり次第、平成27年実施の同調査データも追加する予定である）を用いた分析により、時系列変化を把握することを目的とする。さらに、同様の研究が行われているスイスとの国際比較を行う。都市の規模や構造が異なるスイスと日本で、物的環境及びアクセシビリティの効果がどれくらい異なるかを明らかにする。

As a result of demographic, social and economic changes in Japan as well as other developed countries, there has been structural changes in car ownership and usage levels. In order to analyze the optimal spatial structure of future cities, there is a need to understand the nature of these changes, and the factors influencing it.
This study aims as a first step to analyze the relation between built environment, accessibility levels and household characteristics with car ownership levels and use at the national level. As an ultimate objective we aim at analyzing these changes longitudinally using data from the National Census and the Nationwide Person Trip Surveys. An international comparison between Japan and Switzerland will be conducted in order to understand the differences in ownership and usage changes as well as the effect of relevant factors.
